SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
A Special meeting of the Klickitat Valley Health (KVH) Board of Commissioners was held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 12:00 noon. in the KVH Administrative Conference Room. Commissioner Mark Sigfrinius was the presiding officer. A quorum was present including: Commissioners Connie Pond, John Quinn and Jim Daniel.
Vice-President Mark Sigfrinius called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. Vice-President Sigfrinius requested disclosure from the Commissioners of any conflict of interest items on the Agenda. Each Commissioner indicated that there were no conflicts of interest.
SPECIAL MEETING BUSINESS
Vice-President Sigfrinius announced that the Board would go into an approximately 60-90 minute Executive Session beginning at 12:01 p.m. for the purpose permitted by RCW 42.30.110 (1) (b) "[t]o consider the selection of a site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase when public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a likelihood of increased price"; as well as RCW 42.30.110 (1) (g) " To evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140 (4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be generaHy applied within the agency shaH occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public." The Board came out of Executive Session at 1: 17 p.m.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Commissioners, Commissioner Pond moved that the meeting be adjourned at 1:18 p.m.. Commissioner Quinn seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
