Mental health and substance use concerns can affect sleep, relationships, work, school, and daily life. KVH Behavioral Health provides confidential, compassionate support for adults, teens, and families right here in Klickitat County.

Eligibility to be seen at KVH Behavioral Health

To receive services through KVH Behavioral Health, patients must:

• Have a KVH primary care provider (PCP), or
• Be referred through the KVH Emergency Department

With your permission, behavioral health clinicians work with your primary care provider and other members of your healthcare team to provide coordinated care. That means your care can feel more connected, and you do not have to repeat your story more than necessary.

How We Can Help

KVH provides comprehensive behavioral health services, including:

• Screening and assessment for mental health, substance use, and safety concerns
• Individualized treatment planning
• Care coordination with primary care, specialists, and community resources
• Diagnosis and clinical evaluation
• Counseling and therapeutic services for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationships, chronic illness, and other behavioral health concerns
• Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
• Substance use and recovery services, including support for alcohol, opioids, methamphetamine, and other substance use concerns
• Consultation with primary care and other healthcare professionals
• Case management and connection to community resources
• Crisis and emergency behavioral health services through the KVH Emergency Department and regional crisis resources

When a patient needs specialized treatment or a higher level of care that KVH does not provide directly, our team helps coordinate referrals to appropriate services. These may include specialized substance use treatment, intensive outpatient or residential treatment, specialty psychiatric care, crisis stabilization, and short- or long-term hospitalization.

KVH provides interpreter services and communication support at no cost to patients. Ask for interpreter services when you arrive or when calling (509) 773-1069 for your appointment.
