Why Use the RxLocal App?
RxLocal allows you to request refills without needing your prescription numbers. You can customize how you receive notifications when your prescription is ready, including phone, email, or text options. Automatic refills are also available for added convenience. Please talk with a member of the pharmacy team if you are interested in enrolling.
Most prescriptions are typically filled within approximately 20 minutes. Additional processing time may be required for controlled substances, multiple prescriptions, or incomplete prescription or insurance information.
Stay Informed with RxInform
Patients of KVH Family Medicine may receive secure notifications when a provider writes a prescription. These messages are sent through RxInform and delivered via personalized text after a medication is prescribed electronically through our electronic health record system.
The message will include a link from rxinform.org and is intended to notify you that a prescription has been sent. These messages are not generated by the pharmacy and do not indicate that your prescription is ready for pick up. To opt out of RxInform messages, reply “stop” to the text.

Insurance and Payments
The KVH Retail Pharmacy accepts most major insurance plans and participates in the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program, which helps eligible patients access some medications at reduced cost. If you have questions about coverage or eligibility, please contact a member of the pharmacy team. Please have your prescription insurance card ready, as we will need the BIN, PCN, and group number listed on the card to correctly identify your plan.
Credit cards are the preferred payment at the pharmacy. This helps us reduce the spread of infection and reach our shared goal of keeping patients, staff, and the community healthy.
